April Showers
One of these days I’ll get my act together and start posting on a more consistent basis… Maybe… Lol It’s April, and boy are the rains coming down! Though, I am happy it’s not snowing anymore. I LOVE snow, but this winter really tested my patience! We had 4 Nor’Easters in March. FOUR! And routinely got over a foot of snow. Commuting from one end of Long Island to the other and into Manhattan is not easy, so a lot of vacation days were used, which sucked. But let’s be real. Leather Weather
It’s officially fall in New York! I can’t tell you how much I LOVE this season. Chilly weather, cuddles, beautiful leaves. Not to mention, apple pie <3 . It’s perfection. Today was chilly enough that I had to wear my (vegan) leather jacket! Next up? Boots and vests and scarves.. OH MY! A Day at the Open
A few days ago we went to the US Open. While it proved a little difficult going with a cranky and teething toddler, overall we had a good time, and were even able to watch a whole match (Monfils vs. Almagro)! And of course, we had to have the Grey Goose Honey Deuce; definitely one of my favorite sweet drinks, and one that I’ve enjoyed making this weekend as well. The grounds for the most part are pretty stroller friendly, and the stadiums (at least Ashe & “new” Grandstand) had elevators. I have a very goofy and lovable golden retriever, so when I saw this on Gilt a couple of years ago, I, of course, had to have it. I was pleasantly surprised to find out how sturdy it is. This umbrella holds up to the wind SO well, which comes in handy whether I’m caught in a summer downpour, or winter snow storm!
